We are Here!
Angie and Matt met in 1993 while working at a scuba shop. Our passion for adventure set the stage for a lifelong connection to the outdoors. Eventually, the adventure took a back seat to the American dream, and we both pursued careers we felt passionate about. Our new employment paths allowed us to hone our leadership, strategy, and business skills. Although we are thriving at our current jobs, we yearn to return to nature, and a bird feeder opened our eyes to new possibilities.
A chance encounter with Wild Birds Unlimited revealed the beauty of birds and the serenity they bring to our lives. This revelation sparked a newfound passion for avian creatures and their conservation. Driven by the desire to merge our love for the outdoors and wildlife conservation with financial success, a vision began to take shape. Inspired by the commitment to environmental stewardship, we envisioned a venture that caters to nature enthusiasts and contributes to the well-being of our feathered friends.
The culmination of these experiences have inspired us to open Pensacola's first bird centered nature store. Here, the spirit of adventure from the scuba diving shop, the love for the outdoors, the lessons from corporate success, and the newfound appreciation for birds will converge. The mission is clear: to provide a haven where people can connect with nature, explore the beauty of birdwatching, and contribute to conservation efforts—all while creating a financially rewarding enterprise.
